Day 2, Vancouver to Whistler
The Whistler Mountaineer is a 3-hour, premier train journey from North Vancouver to Whistler (transfers to the train station included). The “Coast Classic” service delivers the unique blend of contrasts the Sea to Sky region is famous for; cities and old growth forests, bustling action and natural serenity, deep valleys and snow-capped peaks, seascapes and mountain views. Included is breakfast served at your seat and interpretive commentary from the onboard attendants.

Day 3, Whistler to Quesnel
Today, transfer (included) to the Whistler Train platform and board Rocky Mountaineer and continue your journey to Quesnel. Travel to the heart of interior British Columbia. Pass by 100 Mile House that is located on the "Old Cariboo Gold Rush Trail" in South Cariboo and boasts a diversity of landscapes. Travel though areas that are not on a road map. Sit back and savour an unparalleled view from the comfort of your seat. Breakfast and lunch are served at your seat. Upon arrival in Quesnel, transfer (included) to your hotel.

Day 4, Quesnel to Jasper
This morning, return to the Quesnel train station and re-board Rocky Mountaineer for the continuing journey to Jasper. Your route today follows the famous Fraser River. Enjoy breakfast and lunch served at your seat (included). Keep your eyes open for grizzly bear, moose, beaver and osprey! Pass the historic settlements of McBride and Tete Jaune Cache on your way to the Yellowhead Pass, and then pass Mount Robson, (3,954 meters/12,970 feet), the Rockies’ highest peak. Crossing into the Province of Alberta, arrive by late afternoon in the peaceful alpine town of Jasper. At the Jasper train station, transfer to your selected hotel (transfer included).

Day 5, Jasper
Today enjoy a free day in Jasper. Take an optional sightseeing tour of the area to see Maligne Lake or the Jasper Tramway or just sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular views.

Day 6, Jasper to Vancouver
This morning is at leisure until the transfer (included) to the Jasper train station to board VIA Rail’s “Canadian” for a journey through the Rockies to Vancouver. This experience with its award-winning service is luxury on rail. Points of interest include Hell’s Gate (gorge), Suicide Rapids in the North Thompson Canyon, and the Cisco Tunnels above the Fraser River. Dinner is included onboard the train this evening.

Day 7, Vancouver Arrival
Breakfast is included onboard VIA Rail this morning. Arrival at the Vancouver Pacific Station is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Transfer (included) to your downtown hotel. Spend the rest of the day visiting Vancouver. You may wish to visit the Lookout Tower, the Vancouver Aquarium or the Dr. Sun-Yet-Sen Classical Chinese Gardens.

Day 8, Vancouver Departure
Today transfer (included) by taxi to the Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
