DAY 1 - Arrival in Vancouver
An overnight stay in Vancouver begins your tour. (Transfer to hotel not included.) If you have a chance, try to check out the unforgettable sights seen from atop the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver. A public transit is available for anyone who chooses to go here.
DAY 2 - Exploring Vancouver
Today is free to tour Vancouver all day by trolley where you can hop on and hop off at 23 different popular sightseeing areas (such as Stanley Park, English Bay, Chinatown and Gastown) and attractions. Admissions included to the Vancouver Aquarium, and Vancouver Art Gallery. The day is yours to shop and explore.
DAY 3 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Vancouver to Jasper
Board VIA Rail's Canadian for your overnight journey to Jasper (dinner onboard). Luggage storage in the passenger cars is limited, so we suggest that you pack an overnight bag for the train portion of your vacation and check the rest of your luggage into the baggage car.
DAY 4 - Arriving in Jasper
You will travel through the Monashee and Caribou mountain ranges before ending your train journey in the resort town of Jasper. A full breakfast is included onboard. Upon arrival in Jasper, you will be transferred directly to your hotel.
DAY 5 - Exploring Jasper
Come and enjoy the beauty of the striking Maligne Valley. This tour includes a short walk around the top of Maligne Canyon, then a scenic drive up the valley past the mysterious disappearing Medicine Lake to Maligne Lake. The wildlife can include moose, caribou, bull elk, big horn sheep, wolves, coyotes and more.
DAY 6 - VIA Rail's 'Canadian' from Jasper to Edmonton
A midday departure travels from the majestic Rocky Mountains to the rolling prairies and the city of Edmonton in just 5 and a half hours today, onboard VIA Rail in Comfort Class seating.
DAY 7 - Exploring Edmonton
West Edmonton Mall has an all-inclusive pass allowing you one entry to ALL of the world class attractions at the Mall. Admission includes: World Water Park, Galaxyland Amusement Park, Professor Wem's Adventure Golf, Sea Life Caverns, Ice Palace and Putt 'n' Glow. Enjoy!
DAY 8 - Departing Edmonton
Check out of your hotel in the morning and transfer on your own to the Edmonton International Airport for your flight home.
This vacation is available in reverse, starting from Calgary.
