Los Angeles to Little Rock and return on the Texas Eagle

Hi Ted,
We've been back awhile and now I find the time to thank you for all of your work at making our trip stress free. We will always cherish the memories of our first cross country train trip. We took it all in, the beauty of LA union station and the friendly, down to earth folks who worked there. The friendly staff on both trains, and even our fellow travelers, coach travelers included were friendly. I gotta hand it to the coachers who went from LA to Little Rock and beyond. How they all kept their spirits up, I wonder if we could have handled as well if we had traveled coach. Luke the 6 year old never once tired of the scenery. Sachi wasn't too interested in the view but enjoyed the room and train. Neither of them fought or whined both ways.
The hotel choices were excellent. We especially liked the Legacy (in Little Rock) with the 40's décor. Did you know Guliani, NY's ex governor, recently stayed there? Other prominent guests were Rockefeller, Muhamid Ali, and Clinton.
We want to do it again in 2008. This time one way from west coast to New York City were Kris's sister Kay lives. My older sister will be in Tuscany, Italy in 08 for three months. She's going to rent a villa there and wants everyone in my family to come stay a while. We want to lay over in NY to visit and then continue to Italy. Wow what a trip! I want to go now.
